To properly choose a collar, you need to measure the circumference of your dog's neck at its widest point. It's best to do this using a tape measure or simply a string, the length of which you can check after taking it off the neck.

The collar should not be too tight, so after putting it on, you should be able to slide in two fingers. Collars have dimensions made to facilitate your choice.
